What can you report?

Poor workmanship Work that appears incomplete, defective or significantly different from what was agreed.

Payments & disputes Concerns around deposits, invoices, unexpected charges or disagreements over payment.

Misleading information Listing details, qualifications or claims that you believe may be inaccurate or misleading.

Safety concerns Work or behaviour that may present a genuine safety concern.

Conduct or communication Serious concerns about how a listed business has behaved or communicated.

Something else If it doesn’t fit neatly into one of these categories, tell us what happened anyway.

MyTradeSearch is not a dispute resolution service.

We provide advertising and directory services. We can review concerns relating to businesses listed on MyTradeSearch and, where appropriate, update, suspend or remove a listing. We cannot decide who is legally right, recover money or award compensation.

BEFORE YOU SEND IT

Speak to the business first

If it’s safe and reasonable to do so, give them an opportunity to understand the problem and put things right.

Keep a record

Save quotes, invoices, messages, photographs and anything else that helps explain what happened.

Stick to the facts

Dates, conversations and what was agreed are much more useful than assumptions or accusations.
